2017 Reading Challenges

                Today is the last day of 2016 and I am so ready for 2017.  This has been a crazy year for sure filled with both good and bad.  Yesterday I posted my challenge update to see how I did on my goals of 2016 which you can see here.  I think overall I did pretty well.  I achieved all but one of my challenges and that one was pretty close too.  I also had lots of fun participating in these so I wanted to continue with that fun and sign up for some 2017 challenges.  So now I’m talking about them!

2017 Reading Challenge

VERDICT: FAILED

I did not read nearly as much as I have in years past.  Part is that at the end of last year I bought a house (yay me) and with it has come some projects that have taken some of my reading time but I am finding some balance in things and plan to make the most of reading time next year!
              

2017 Debut Author Challenge
Goal: 12 (shelf)

VERDICT: FAILED

I would be a bit closer but a couple I thought were debuts when I planned them I found out were not.  


               
2017 TBR Pile Reading Challenge
Goal: As many as possible! (shelf)
30/?
VERDICT: WIN!!!

Okay so technically I didn’t have a number to beat here but I think 30 is a respectable number!


                   

2017 Series Enders Reading Challenge
Goal: 15 (shelf)
9/15
VERDICT: FAILED

I failed at this one last year too and was really looking to redeem myself but I fell just a bit short.  However, I am rather proud of this one because for most of these I read the entire series!  2018 I need redemption!!!

               

2017 New Releases Challenges
Goal: 31-60 (shelf)
37/(31-60)
VERDICT: WIN!!!

Bought a few more than my budget probably liked but new pretties are hard to resist!

               

2017 Audiobook Challenge
Goal: 5-10 (shelf) 
35/(5-10)
VERDICT: WIN!!!

This is by far my most successful challenge.  I only thought I’d listen to a couple books while on long trips but instead found a love for audiobooks that I cannot deny.
