~Stacking the Shelves: December~

Welcome to a special Saturday posting!  Stacking the Shelves was created by Tynga and the full details can be found on her page here.  Basically you showcase the books you bought, they post weekly, but I decided to take part once a month for simplicity.  Basically a monthly book haul!  These are the books I got for myself in November.

Physical Books

New Releases:
Winter by Marissa Meyer- OMG I have it and it is HUGE!

Soundless by Richelle Mead & Chapter sampler for The Glittering Court for Meads new book coming out in April- I've already read Soundless (review here) and just adored it.  I'm excited for the next series, though I've been debating over reading the chapter sampler at this point as it's so far away.

Others:
The Heir by Kiera Cass- I still haven't read The Selection series yet but I plan to in 2016 and I figure getting all the books so I'm able to marathon is the best way (plus it was on sale)

The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard Book 1) by Rick Riordan- I never got on the Percy Jackson band wagon, I missed it (though I plan to catch up on 2016) but I plan to start out this series on point!

The next couple books I got from a good friend for a belated birthday present.  Thanks Bo @ Bogdana The Booknerd
P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han- I have both books now, I just need to read them!  I've heard nothing but good things and I look forward to getting to them.

Personal Demons by Lisa Desrochers- I don't know much about it but it looks good to me ;)
Labor Day by Joyce Maynard- I didn't know this was a book.  I remember wanting to see the movie when it came out (but missing it in theatres) so now that I have it I can read before watching!
If I Told You So by Timothy Woodward- Not sure what it's about but always happy to pick up and try new books!

E-Books

For Review:
These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker and Kelly Zekas- I've seen this book around and love the cover so when I read what it was about I was all about it.  I was stoked to get approved for it!
Blackhearts by Nicole Castroman- I just mentioned this on my top ten debuts of 2016 I'm looking forward to and then not a week later my request for an ARC was granted!

New Releases:
Fire Falling by Elise Kova (Air Awakens Book 2)- I read the first book in the series Air Awakens (review here) and LOVED it so I had to get book 2 when it came out!
Red Hot Holidays 17 Contemporary Anthology
A Very Alpha Christmas a 25 Paranormal Anthology- A sale on an anthology with a few authors I know with shorts for series I have sounded like a win/win!
The Geneva Project:  Prequels The Christmas Gift by Christina Benjamin- I have caught up with the series and was excited about a prequel novella.

Others:
Down the Wormhole by Ana Franco- This book I heard about from the author herself sharing about her book and getting the word out there.  The cover drew me in and from what I hear it's supposed to be right up my alley.

  1. Awesome haul of books. I had read Personal Demons a long time ago. It looks like you got a huge amount of different books this week. I hope you love Winter and the new Rick Riordan book was terrific.

  2. Great haul! I'm still debating on reading The Heir, but I did enjoy the first 3 books enough. I'm also debating about Soundless. Lots of mixed opinions running around. Happy reading!

    1. Thanks for stopping by! I am so far behind on so many series! I own them but just haven't gotten to them yet agh. Making a list of series I want to complete in 2016. I hope you give Soundless a try but only if you're feeling it, never good to read something you don't want to read ;)

    1. I have heard such amazing things about Jenny Hann and her books but like so many other great series I'm playing catch up. But I'm determined. Thinking this one might have to move on up though ;)

Happy to spread blog and book love!

  6. CONGRATS on getting your hands on such an AWESOME haul!!! Oh, my face is turning a funny shade of green.....lol.

I want to get "Winter" so badly.....but I'm having to be careful about book-spending now that the holidays are here. I WILL get it eventually, though! (Besides, I still have to read "Cinder", the very first book in the series....lol.)

I recently had a giveaway for "Soundless" on my blog. I also bought myself a copy when I attended the 2015 Miami Book Fair (that's in Miami, Florida, USA, where I live). The presentation of this book is SO exquisite! I LOVE the look and feel of the outer cover, and the inner cover is just breathtaking!

I'm bookmarking this page so it will remind me to add these books to my TBR and library collection!!

Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my own STS post!! : )

    1. Thanks! I don't know what is worst having it and not reading it yet or nothing having it yet! I'm trying to catch up with some things to get there though. OMG you haven't started the series yet...that's okay because when you do you can marathon the whole thing without waiting in between which is even better!

Oh that's awesome! I really enjoyed Soundless, sorry I missed your giveaway. Thanks for stopping by I hope you get to check out more books after the holidays! I know I am not allowed to buy anything on my Christmas list but I left some books off knowing I probably wouldn't be able to help myself lol.
