Stacking the Shelves: July

Welcome to a special Saturday posting!  I saw a friend of mine post this last month on her page and I loved the idea so I decided to take part as well.  Stacking the Shelves was created by Tynga and the full details can be found on her page here.  Basically you showcase the books you bought, they post weekly, but I decided to take part once a month for simplicity.  It reminds me of the Book Tube I like to watch and their book hauls only in blog form.  So here goes.  These are the books I got for myself in July.

I’ll start with the physical books I obtained first.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir- I haven’t read it yet but have been meaning to and it felt like a good time to get it.  I think my friend, Bo at YA Booknerd, has it on her TBR list as well and maybe we can read it together.

The Infernal Devices Manga Trilogy by Cassandra Clare and HyeKyung Baek- I didn’t know these existed until Katytastic had them in her wrap-up or book haul anyway I found out they were real things and went directly to amazon and hit buy.

We’ll Always Have Summer by Jenny Jan I have the other books in the series but not this one and I wanted all three so I can marathon them.

Not much this month I know but I was trying to be good after UtopYA last month!

Now onto digital books:

Escape from Witchwood Hollow by Jordan Elizabeth- I was contacted by the author for an honest review, my full thoughts are here.

Another Day by David Levithan- I got this ARC from NetGalley!  I’m excited to read it and know what happens.

Remembrance by Michelle Madow- I met Michelle at UtopYA and bought the first book in her Diamond Sisterhood series but when I got home the publisher e-mailed me asking if I’d be interested in reviewing the first book in her other series and I said YES!

The Rooftop Inventor by Nooce Miller- Talked to Nooce at UtopYA and her books sounded really good and the cover is awesome!

Queen of Someday by Sherry Ficklin- UtopYA again go figure, friendly author and beautiful book cover!

Edge: Season 1 by Jamie Magee- I have read and own other books by Jamie and seeing her at UtopYA was so much fun.  She told me about this new serial she was working on and gave me a sampler which I know is never enough so I went ahead and got the whole season so I wouldn’t have to pause when reading.

How to Be a Mermaid by Erin Hayes- UtopYA author again can’t wait to read.

The Daughter of Smoke & Bone Trilogy and novella by Laini Taylor- I have the trilogy in hardcover and have yet to read it still but it was on a great deal and I love having things on both formats to read as I feel inclined plus snagging the novella was nice.

Until Midnight by Melissa Landers- I was working on my review for Alienated and trying to figure out if it’s a duology, trilogy, what and saw there was a novella I didn’t own and had to fix that.

A Shade of Kiev by Bella Forrest- I have other books in the series (which I haven’t started yet) and I had a free $1 credit and yeah…

Wednesday by Clare James- I was provided this book for a review and blog event coming up.

That’s it for the month of July.  This has been pretty fun sharing my book goodies.  This month was more e-book than physical but as I’m currently trying to figure out where to put a new bookshelf I am okay with this.  Book nerd problems for sure.  Let me know what you think of my new additions.  Have you read any yet?  If so what do you think?  I should have a normal review up for you tomorrow, so until then read on!
